My inspiration for this painting was found in a little wildflower garden at the entrance of the Luxembourg Gardens in Paris. I wanted to show how they greeted us that day with their vibrant red blooms on a bright Parisian afternoon. Parts of this are a bit more graphic than usual for me but poppies lend themselves to such a look with their eye popping centers and crinkled pedals.
Was $1200. Now $600
Unmatted and unframed.
